Sevilla are attempting to guarantee Clement Lenglet does not leave for revealed suitors Barcelona, as per president Jose Castro.

Lenglet has awed at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan since marking from Nancy in January 2017, prompting gossipy tidbits that La Liga title top picks Barca could be set to make a move for the middle back.

The 22-year-old has beforehand demanded he is upbeat at Sevilla and senior club authorities are clear in their purpose to keep the Frenchman.


“We are dealing with [Clement’s future] and on some different players,” said Castro, as announced by Sport. “These are interior discussions and we trust that they will end well.

“We have no record of any enthusiasm for him.”
